Education:

4th lord, is Sani which is in 10th, aspecting the 4th house. When a bhavadhipa aspects the bhava, it’s a rule that the bhava results have to happen. Especially when there is a lagna/lagnadhipa sambandham. (Here Sani is in a Kendra from Sukra the lagnadhipa, which is a strong sambandham) Also, consider that for a Thula lagna Sani is a yoga karaka by means of Kendra and Trikona lordships. Again, in navamsa, Sani is seen to occupy, swakshetra in the 4th house. But we all know that Hitler dropped out of school by his 16th year!

Now, if you look from Chandra lagna also, the 4th lord Guru is in Chandra lagna which favours formal education. So is it Sani, the 4th lord in 10th which prevented the formal education? No, we have seen many Thula lagna natives faring superbly well in education.

We may see that Hitler was running the Ashtamadhipa Sukra’s dasa till late 1907, who also happened to be the gulika bhavanadhipa. The association of Kuja and Sukra must have tempted him to go freaky with his studies during Sukra period. Rahu’s presence in the 9th might have given him scant respect for father/gurus.

Mind:

The Manokaraka, Chandra is in 3rd, not a favourable position for a satwic planet. It has got yoga with the 3rd and 6th lord Guru (again Guru becoming unfavourable) and with Khantakaraka Ketu. All these add up to giving a very inward personality, with many dark tendencies.

Knowledge:

2nd lord Kuja, is in 7th house and has got a swakshetra navamsa. Making Kuja all the more aggressive. It is associated with the 11th lord (sarvabheeshta) Surya which is in Uccha in 7th, Budha the bhagya (9th)lord/12th lord and the lagna/8th lord Sukra, constituting a pravajya yoga though weak. And importantly, aspected by Guru. Hitler surely had great knowledge in many a science and art, which must have been self nourished.

Karma:

10th lord Chandra, is in 3rd house, the house of valour. Along with the 3rd and 6th lord (enemy house) Guru and the naturally malefic Ketu. An Uccha Surya and aggressive Kuja only added up to this. The occupation of Sani in the 10th house, aspected by Kuja, gave rise to a great elevation in life and a fall due to self undoing.

Bhagya:

9th lord Budha is in 7th, indicating that Hitler’s progress in life started after his sensual life got activated. It is aspected by Guru from 3rd but more influenced by Sani who aspects the 9th lord vis a vis his 10th aspect. The presence of Rahu in 9th and its navamsa in 8th along with Budha (bhagyadhipa) must have been the bhagya chyuti.

Wisdom:
5th lord Sani in a Kendra, with a sambandham with lagna lord Sukra surely gave Hitler a slow but great intelligence but the drishti of Kuja ruined it to make it too negative. The information karaka, Budha’s state amply supported the enigmatic man. But most unfortunately the Gnana karaka Guru’s very unfavourable state proved the decisions of the aggressive leader to be most unfortunate to the world.

Summary:

So it is not just the 4th lord or the 2nd lord or the 9th lord that indicates what you are going to do with knowledge in your life. It is predominantly, the 5th house, its lord, and it’s karaka- Guru. This is not in any way undermining the importance of any of the above mentioned houses or the all important houses like the 10th. Wisdom and your vasana (instinct) has got a lot to do with your poorva janma sukruta and also to your discrete application of your knowledge. Of course this can be modified a lot with your learning out of sufferings from 6th, 8th and 12th conditions too.

Paramahamsa Yogananda was born in the Magha nakshatra. This nakshatra is a strange combination of Surya, the ‘aham’ feeling, Ketu, the renunciate and Pitru, the ancestral experience.

It normally makes a person in the material world do things for appreciation or atleast for a feeling of aristocrasy or it makes a renunciate who gets a taste of the higher life. Of the Gandantha trine nakshatras Aswini, Makha and Moola, Magha is the most confused and hence tries harder to dive deeper into spiritual practices.

In Paramahamsa Yogananda’s case, lagna is Simha, a dharma sign. The lord Surya is posited in 5th house, a trikona. Surya’s neechamsaka, might have been the chief worry for Guruji, as it implied that he could never exercise power in a dignified way.

Chandra is also in lagna which makes all the 3 pivotal points to occupy Dharma rasis. Which indicates that the person will not move away from the dharma marga, in normal case.

Well, we all expect all these beneficial positions in holy mens’ horoscopes, but what interests us most is the positioning of Guru and Kuja in a dusthana 8th house. When 9th lord occupies 8th, it normally gives a person with a non-conformist dharma. An experimentor. Guru, the graha of orthodoxical knowledge going in to 8th also gives unorthodoxical temperament. Rahu in the house of dharma accents this.

Yoga is the science of life and death. And who experiments on this more than a Yogi? So, it is very natural for PY’s horoscope to have a very unique and blessed 8th house, the house of death. Guru in 8th is in moolatrikona, along with the dharma/bhagyadhipa Kuja. The association is fully aspected by Sani from the 2nd.

12th lord Chandra in lagna and Rahu in 9th might have been the key indicators which forced PY to seek his destiny abroad. The Vak karaka Budha’s occupation of the trikona 5th with Surya and the aspect of 5th and 9th lords into the 2nd house which gives Sani a very changed constitution, were responsible for his highly acclaimed words.

The psychologist who researched so much on sexual drives, had lagna as the Sukra kshetra Tula, Chandra in Sukra kshetra Rishabha in 8th house and Surya in Madana kshetra(7th) along with Sukra and Rahu. Sukra is a very important planet in this horoscope as he is not just the lagna lord, but as he is in 7th, constituting a malavya yoga(though afflicted). Also Sani, the yogakaraka’s positioning in 9th is very significant.

Whenever a person has a very active 8th house, it gives him a mystical nature, or he will research more on the subtleties. 8th house is not just about the death, but also about the mystery of life. 9th lord Budha coming into this house of research gave him the temperament to dig more into this.

And, when a person has Sani in 9th, the house of dharma, the person may not be bothered about getting the approval of the society about his perception of rights and wrongs or the dharma.

When there is Kuja in 12th , the house of Sayana (pleasures of the bed) and when it is in the 7th amsa from the radix lagna, the sexual theme gets accented.

Regarding their understanding of the subject, there is a famous “A” joke about Freud and his associate Jung. It goes like this:

“ S Freud had a desire to mate with an elephant. He went in search and finally found one. He finds a ladder, climbs her up, and starts the game. Jung who was witnessing all this climbed up a coconut tree and started masturbating. A coconut from this tree fell on the elephant’s head and she said “ouch!” And Freud asked her “did I hurt you baby?”

12th lord Budha in 8th constitutes a vipareeta rajayoga. If he was right or not in his beliefs, we may not know, but we can be sure that through his research or sadhana, he must have evolved a lot. A major fact to be considered here is that Sani, the lord of the house of wisdom, of 5th, is in 9th, another trine. Sani is a yogakaraka for Tula, and thus becoming more beneficial. We need to remember that 5th is poorva janma and 9th is the next one. Whenever there is an benefic connection between 1, 5 and 9, the native will be fulfilling the karmic destiny promised in the past births.

The study of Madonna’s chart is very interesting as it is a strange combination of sensuality and spirituality.

Madonna was born with the dominating Simha lagna. The lagna lord Surya is in 12th house, a difficult house for Surya as the dominating nature gets a beating in the 12th. There, Surya is in association with his enemy Sukra, indicating the difficulties of Surya, made more complex through Sukra’s sensuality.

Her birth star is Pubba, the nakshatra ruled by Sukra. Sukra thus gains more relevance. And, it’s neecha amsa indicates very complex issues related to sensuality.

Chandra in lagna along with Budha and Gulikan, accents the artistic qualities and sensitivity. Chandra being in a sthira rasi, gives fixity in purpose, and Budha lends adaptibility and finesse. Chandra’s amsaka in Budha kshetra and Budha’s in Chandra kshetra adds more meaning to this association.

The association of the Lagna lord and 10th lord though in 12th house, well aspected by the Bhagya (9th) lord Kuja, ensured professional success. May be, the fact that there is an underlying sexual-spiritual(12th house) theme in almost all her works, has been instrumental in her professional success.

4th house, the house of Sukha, is occupied by another difficult planet, Sani. Sani’s navamsa being in the 7th house(madana)from radix lagna, shows where the dissatisfaction is rooted in.

Her Dharma lord(9th) Kuja in 9th itself along with Ketu(the agent of Kuja), fully aspected by Guru, the lord of 5th, the poorvajanmapunnya lord and Rahu, makes her dharma(righteousness), very strange but solid and working. Also, the parivartana yoga between Surya the lagna lord and Chandra the 12th lord, is a very good yoga for spiritual development. We can find the reasons of her evolution from a sensual dancer to a Kabballah practitioner from all this.

Gandhiji was born in Kanya lagna, a very fertile artha sign. It is also known for its steady, systematic, methodological nature. A notable kanya lagna physical characteristic is drooping of shoulders. (most astrologers consider Gandhiji’s lagna as thula or libra. But the very fact that Kanya lagna’s 3rd lord and 8th lord Kuja indicates his kind of death is enough to prove which lagna he had actually. It is to be remembered that death is seen from 8th house whereas the nature of death is seen from 3rd house.)

Gandhiji was born in the nakshatra Aslesha. Aslesha is a star known for its slow and steady entwining/influencing nature, be it for positive or for negative purposes.

Chandra in swakshetra, karkataka with a meena navamsa is strong though it has the weakness of Krishna paksha.

Lagna Surya which would have made him a fiery aggressive man, got tempered as it is neecha aaropi (going towards neecha in thula) and due to occupation of the cool Kanya, and the navamsa in another Budha sign, Mithuna. Being the lord of 12th, the house of frustrations and

losses, Surya in lagna conferred on him the temperament to suffer and to stand for a cause. Still, one can find a kind of excessive seeking of suffering also through this combination. May be this was his moksha marga.

Chandra in Swakshetra in Karakataka, with its navamsa in the Gurukshetra Meena is very favourable, especially as it is posited in the Sarvabheeshta sthaanam, namely the 11th. This favours desire fulfillment, though we can find some clouding and masking of desires due to the Rahu yoga of the Krishna paksha Chandra. This also gives a kind of Unmada yoga. (tendency for hysteria)

Kama(desires):

Bhavas 3, 7 and 11, the rasis Mithuna, Thula and Kumbha, the grahas Sukra, Kuja, Sani and Rahu are the key indicators of Kama. 3rd lord is Kuja, who is occupying a Kama rasi, Thula, along with Sukra and Budha. Anytime there is a relationship between Kuja and Sukra, there is an

accentuation of sensual passions. Here the yoga is in both rasi as well as in navamsa which strengthens the point further. A positive relief is that the yoga has the drishti from Guru(though he is the 7th lord) 3rd house, which shows the

drive, has got Sani in it, which will slow it down, but doesn't kill it. 7th lord Guru occupying 8th, a dusthana indicates the denial of a platform for sensual gratification. However swakshetra navamsa Guru becomes more satvic.

11th lord Chandra is discussed before.

The goodness trine, 1, 5 and 9:

Lagna lord is Budha, who is in a favourable bhava, the vaksthaana, the 2nd. (Budha here is Karmadhipa too) He has association with another trine lord, Sukra which is very favourable. Budha's navamsa from the rasi lagna's 5th house, the house of wisdom further accents the goodness.

5th lord Sani is in 3rd house, an ishta bhava for Sani and in Swakshetra navamsa. But we need to see the negative presence of Ketu in the 5th, which ofcourse brings problems too in decision making.

9th lord, Sukra is in excellent strength by being in Swakshetra in Rasi as well as Navamsa. His yoga with the lagna and karmadhipa Budha (dharmakarmadhipa yoga) has conferred on him qualities par excellence, though the desire factor is accented by the yoga with Kuja.

Gandhiji constantly tried to rise above his kamas and pursue the path of Dharma to seek moksha. We have much to learn from " the small obstinate man".

MY TRUTH

as a pursuer of science,
i always doubted..reasoned..found my answer..realized later that there could be a 'better truth'..searched again..felt the agony of being lost..felt bitter..

through the process, i have not lost my confidence in science, but strangely, i have always felt happy that i am in this track.

now i see something..
the power which created is beyond definitions.
u just need to revel in it.
in ur being here.

there is no other truth.

to fast, to meditate and to wait..

fasting to keep yourself healthy, is an art/science.
so too is meditation.

but waiting is the toughest of all.

you do all you can do and you don't see any result for a pretty long time,
and you cant wait any longer!

masters say,
effortless effort..
nishkama karma..

the toughest thing to practice, is to do karma without the sense of doing it.
losing ownership of your actions....
yet doing it well..

dharma, the minute you become aware of you conforming to it, becomes hypocrisy!

oh arunachala..
every time i feel i am malam(impure)
i turn to you
and
you make me feel cleansed
so fast!

oh arunachala..
all those secret caves(like the ezhuchunai or seven springs)
where wind blows so mystically
stills even this high strung mind to peace..

oh arunachala..
each and every spot on you
vibrates with so much energy
that all those siddha herbs get more godly
which when chewed
refreshes my ill-done body
in an instant..

oh arunachala..
let me remain
as a part of you..

oh arunachala..
let me be...

propitiations to improve married life

marriage is ruled by 7th lord, the planets occupying the 7th house and the influencing planets.
this needs to be seen from lagna(ascendant), moon, sun as well as venus.

suppose there is Ketu in 7th house.(dragon's tail)

Ketu's moola mantra is Om Thraam Threem Throum Sa: Ketuvae Nama:
Ketu's devata is Vighneswara or Ganesha.
Ketu's pulse is horse gram.
Ketu's day is tuesday.
Ketu's stars are Aswini, Magha and Moola.

So performing propitiations on these days using the mantras mentioned above, we can make a big difference to Ketu and thus to the 7th house. ie. marriage.

Now, think that Kuja or Mars is the lord of the 7th house.
you need to propitiate Kuja the same as mentioned for Ketu.

Kuja's mantra is Om Kraam Kreem Kroum Sa: Bhoumaya Nama:
Devata is Bhadrakali(in female signs) and Subramania in male signs.
Day is tuesday
Pulse is red gram
Stars are Mrigasirsha, chitra and dhanishta.

likewise for each graha or planet, propitiations are given in my book "understanding and overcoming your darksides" freely available to download in www.jyotishkrishna.com

striking a balance

A successful friend of mine, felt its time to shut down his factory and go to the himalayas.
He left all his material possessions, became free and left in a jiffy.
There he fasted, meditated and waited for 20 years, and once he attained a kind of un-explainable peace, returned to his native land.

Many old friends and acquaintances flocked to see the new avatar.
This man was so friendly and compassionate that he slowly started taking up others problems as his own and got back into the same old entangled situation.

Thanks to his 20 years of practice, he could realize this soon, and he smiled at himself.
He realized, he needs to to be less passionate in his compassion and then on remained as a water drop on lotus leaf.

destiny and astrology

We all pray when in need.
sometimes we get so desperate, that we lose all hope.
later, if the problem was not so critical, even if the help hadn't come, we put it behind us, and tend not to think of it.

we are eternal optimists.
or, we accept things very fast.
we conveniently forget.

and yes, we see many a person saved at the nick of time by some divine grace.
we get something to hold on to.

and, that is why Gods stay on.

when i see a person in trouble, i give him/her a pariharam or remedy in the form of a mantra or a prayer or some lifestyle correction or sometimes a change of place.

sometimes it works.
god comes in the form of some circumstances, or people.

i have seen, when the prayers are desperate and when you lose yourself in prayers, in god, then sometimes your prayers are answered.

a mother prayed desperately for her 4 year old's life, but the child died.
she was truely true in her prayers.

when we have no answers, we call it 'karmaphalam' (result of past actions)

if everything is karmaphalam, then astrology can be used only for changing your distant future not the near one.

marriages are made in heaven

majority of Hindus and a considerable percentage of people of other religions too are particular about horoscope matching.

if astrology is true, then, whom you should marry is also pre-destined.
no astrologer can change it.
no priest can change it.

if everything is pre-destined, then what is the role of astrology?

an astrologer's guidance can only help you see matters in a astro-perspective, which is remarkably efficient.

astrology gives you reasons, without which you will be puzzled why such and such things have happened in your life.

it makes you more grounded. and, it helps to liberate too.
